Private Jet Charter Lisbon

A charming combination of olde worlde glamour and modernity, Portugal's capital, Lisbon, has lots to offer the visitor. There's the endless delights in the pretty medieval part of town, Alfama, home to historic Sao Jorge castle, the convenience of the ultra-modern railway station, Gare de Oriente, gigantic Vasco da Gama Bridge that links the airport to a number of modern motorways and historic wooden trams travelling up and down Lisbon's hilly streets past Art Deco cafes and beautiful sidewalks decorated with mosaics.

For the past few decades, Lisbon has cleaned up its act - and its streets, and now the city offers plenty of fun and entertainment. The best time to enjoy its charms is on a lazy summer evening, in one of Lisbon's popular sidewalk cafes or riverside restaurants. During the day, there's the Oceanarium, lush Edward the Seventh Park, and the redeveloped Expo site, now home to Parque das Nacoes. The city's largest square, Comercio Square, is now home to a number of excellent restaurants, and the clubs and restaurants on the river keep the area bustling at night.

Of course, modern facilities aside, let's not forget that Lisbon is the oldest city in Europe next to Athens, and as a result, the historic sights are legendary. There are a number of areas in Chaido that have been designated Heritage Sites by UNESCO, as well as the elegant district of Baixa and and Alfama, with its maze of cobbled streets. Take a walk down to Lisbon's harbour, which is one of the greatest natural harbours to be found on earth, and the departure point for a number of famous explorers who set out on adventurous voyages of discovery.
